The mother of three grown sons, I am familiar with caring for almost every kind of household pet. I have been a dog and cat owner (and lover) for over 40 years, and at present have a multiple pet "family" to keep me company. With all of these "pups" and "kitties," I know the value of a trusted "sitter" when I need to be away from home. It would be both physically and financially impossible to kennel my "crew."
A retired college English teacher, I was employed part time for eight years by a local veterinary hospital, and am comfortable with most canine and feline situations.
I began my Racemere Pets 'n Plants Pet Sitting Service eight years ago. Since the advent of my pet sitting business, I have experienced many situations which have helped me understand what newcomers to the field might need to know to start their own businesses.
Several years ago, I decided to write a "how to" book for pet sitters. The result was How to Make Money Pet Sitting. This book has become very popular. The detailed lists and forms are absolutely crucial to a new pet sitter's success. In addition, you will find a step by step plan for starting your business, and lots of suggestions for every situation from finding insurance to advertising your business.
I hope that you will enjoy both reading my book, and then starting and succeeding at your own pet sitting business.
I wish you success,
Ginger L. Miller
